This site is published by Dance. Here's what that means.
AI for Small Business is owned and run by Dance Technologies, Inc, the company that makes Dance. Dance helps owners run their website by asking for changes in plain English, and offers optional marketing help for websites on Dance. We are promoting our own product here, openly. This is not an independent review site, and we don't rank other vendors.
Why it exists
Most writing about “AI for small business” is a list of tools. Owners we talk to don't need more tools. They need to know which job to do first, what to gather, what to check, and how to tell whether it helped. This site is our attempt to answer that well, including for people who never use Dance.
We focus on websites and marketing because that's what Dance does. An AI platform won't run your accounting, payroll, inventory or bookings, and Dance doesn't try to. When a topic is outside that focus, we say so.
How we write and check the guides
- Authorship. Articles are written and edited by the Dance team and credited to the team, not to an invented expert.
- Examples. The salons, plumbers, studios and shops in our examples are hypothetical unless we name a source. We don't publish customer stories, quotes or results without the customer's permission, and we haven't published any yet.
- Product claims. Anything we say about Dance is checked against Dance's live website on the date shown on the page. Prices aren't repeated here. We link to Dance's current pricing instead, so the two can't disagree.
- Other facts. When we state how something works (for example, how redirects or Search Console behave), we link to the primary source.
- Updates. Each page shows when it was published and last updated. If something is wrong, email us and we'll fix it and change the date.
About the planning tool
The first-project planner runs entirely in your browser. It suggests a project from your four answers using fixed, readable rules. It does not look at your website or your analytics, and your answers are not sent to us. It works without an account or an email address.
Privacy and measurement
This site is covered by Dance's privacy policy and cookie policy, which apply to any Dance website that links to them. On the live site we use Google Analytics (the same property as startdancing.ai) and Vercel Analytics to count page views and actions: starting and finishing the planner, copying or printing a plan, and clicks through to Dance. We record which page and which button. We don't record what you typed or chose.
When you click through to startdancing.ai, Google Analytics can carry your visit across both sites so we can see that this site sent you. A click is only a click. We count signups or purchases only when Dance's own systems report them.
